… of those who gave their lives to protect our history. Artifacts serve as a portal to the past. They tell us stories that aren’t found in books. We experience things and interpret them in our own unique way. It is human arrogance to believe that what someone else has built must be destroyed in order to satisfy one’s ego, political or religious. The space between objects and persons keeps our ego and unwanted desires away.
